MODEL EC99W FROST CONTROL:

This unit has a relay that closes (5 Amp max) when the setpoint (low) temperature is reached.

(No buzzer is built into this model.)

Includes a sensor probe that may be wired up to a mile from the unit, using ordinary 20 GA or larger copper cable or telephone type wire. The frost control comes with a plug in transformer that operates from 110 VAC / 60 HZ. A separate 12 volt DC power input is also provided so the unit may, if desired, be connected to a 12 volt backup battery (to allow the system to remain operational in the event of power failure).

This device has a turn-on (low temp) setpoint adjustable from 10 to 50 degrees F. and an adjustable turn-off (high) setpoint "window" of zero to up to 20 degrees above the turn-on (low) temperature. This "window" system is used to prevent oscillation of the control system when used for its intended purpose of controlling a frost prevention sprinkler or similar.
