The digital control unit, which also contains the temperature sensor, is connected to the light unit by a 15 foot cable so that it may be mounted conveniently to read the digital thermometer display and adjust the alarm setpoint, while allowing the light to be mounted higher for grater visibility.
The setable warning range covers the entire temperature monitoring range of -40 to +120 degrees F.
This unit operates from two 6 Volt Lantern type batteries (not included) and may be set in a remote location. Portability allows you to relocate the light to several locations without having to hard wire the unit in.
The strobe is VERY BRIGHT and CAN BE SEEN FOR MILES!
The ability to choose lens colors allows for the possibility of using different colors to alarm at different set temperatures, or to identify specific areas from a long distance.
When the temperature drops to the low setpoint, the strobe light will flash, until the unit is turned off or until the temperature goes above the setpoint.
In its non-flashing condition, this device draws very little power and will operate for many weeks on the two 6 Volt Lantern batteries. In flashing condition, the batteries can power the strobe for over 50 hours of flashing .
