The control unit is connected to the light unit by a cable of 5, 10 or 15 feet (models: -5, -10 and -15) so it is easy to read the built in digital thermometer and adjust the alarm setpoint and to allow the light to be mounted higher so it can be seen from a further distance. (The digital control unit contains the temperature sensor). The setable range covers the entire temperature monitoring range of -40 to +120 degrees F.
Uses new highly efficient solid-state LED lamps in the flasher which are rated at 100,000 hours life. (No more bulbs to burn out).
This unit operates from 4 D cell batteries and may be set in a remote location visible to the main building or office.
This portability allows you to relocate the light to several locations without having to hard wire the unit in.
When the temperature drops to the low setpoint, the light will flash on and off, until the unit is turned off or until the temperature goes above the setpoint.
The light flasher / battery holder portion of this unit is the same amber light that the highway department uses for road construction markers.
In its non-flashing condition, this device draws very little power and will operates for many weeks on the 4 D cell batteries.
